If your client gives you a high rating we can then send them to a screen that really encourages them to leave a positive review. If your client leaves a bad rating we still need to give them a way to leave a review but we make the button a lot smaller and encourage them to just send the feedback and not a review.

Yes. We must provide a link to lead a client to leave a review no matter what ratting they give. If we don't this is called "Gating" which is against Google's guidelines and they may penalize you for doing this. Google may remove all your most of reviews if they catch you gating so it is not worth it. But we can still give them an option to leave a review but encourage them to just send feedback. It is all about the design of the screen. Trust me, this process can create far more positive reviews than negative. If you are getting negative reviews using the feedback to improve your business will lead to positive reviews so it is a win-win.
